The food is great! Taste really fresh, and the tortillas are outstanding. Service is always prompt, even when they are busy, and you always feel welcome to be back at their restaurant.
Was greeted right when we walked in the door and seated quickly. It was a little loud in the restaurant that day because they had two large groups. Chips and salsa are excellent. Ordered a lunch pork burrito and lunch Chile Relleno. Both were served with beans and rice. Both items had good taste. Service was excellent.
If you really want authentic Mexican food , los portales is your place!! Always greeted with a smile and sat right away!!! Everything on the menu is so good and freshly made!! their Flan is amazing!!!! The best!! You can never go wrong with any meal you order there because everything is so good. I truly recommend this place.
I had a catering order today it was for, beef and cheese enchiladas, rice, beans, chili rellenos and fresh salsa, for a party of 75 guest. Well everyone LOVED the food so many guests kept asking where I got the food from. One guest asked for the salsa so I gave her some in a cup to take home. My food was ready on time when I picked it up. I want to say Thank You to Pilar for great service and great food. Los Portales made my party an absolute success. Everyone was just raving about how delicious all the food was.
I've come to have a special place in my heart for this lovely establishment for a few personal reasons. But still, aside from even that, the service and food has been fabulous every time. Straight up Mexican soul food for me and my family. It has a cantina vibe going on and you can have parties here. Highly recommend this place!
Portales has been our family's go-to for Mexican food and drinks. I love their margaritas. Chips and salsa are always good and free! Food is always consistent. I love their flour tortilla. Servers are always nice and the owners are sweet! Never had a bad experience aside from (sometimes) a long wait for our food but again the chips make up for the wait came here for my husbands bday last night and they surprised him with fried ice cream, song, bday shot (they were also celebrating one of the servers bday) and, and a sombrero . Plenty of parking and they accept reservations!
Friends' favorite restaurant in their hood I was not far from the eatery, so I decided to find it out. Now, I know! - It's not only about great food, it was also about warm ambiance, courteous services, and value - for the lunch special $12.75 or $13.75 including drink, wine, margarita or soda from 11am -4pm. I had salmon and a glass of non-alcohol margarita - for $13.75 The perfectly grilled salmon, the well blend Margarita made my late lunch meal a dinner! Indulge!
